    Yeah, you can ALWAYS get the shape you want with quads and tris. Here’s the reason - all faces are tris. All faces are rendered as tris. If you’re using an N-Gon to get a curve, look at it from a different angle - it doesn’t render correctly. There is NEVER a reason to use N-Gons to get shape. There are some vague reasons to use them for setting up advanced geometry, but it is considered very sloppy form to have N-Gons at all for production models. It breaks edge flow, and causes all sorts of problems. Trust me, get out of the habit. Once you figure a few things out, it becomes very obvious as to why it’s bad. Keep as many quads as possible, tris when needed, and never N-Gons.

    Yeah, just got them, the latest iteration for 2.6 the others won’t be so useful. I can’t use Gimp 2.8 kept getting crashes dealing with larger files.

    UPDATE: I’m gonna make an original R-Type vessel for Discovery, perhaps the first of many original designs. Is that OK? They’ll each get a vessel-bound superweapon based on their purpose and design. How cool is that?

    Ooops so I actually textured the wrong part for the cockpit then. If it’s that light colored part at the front then I will have to at least triple the size of the ship to make it match the size of the in-game chars (18 cm)

    Edit btw thx a lot, I will be digging thru that list to see what’s available, credits will be added to the game

    The animation is there, plus i added a few extra hardpoints i needed for my project, the important thing was to get the animation working which thanks to you, is now working great.

    No, every model was manually ripped of the original models, corrected in dimensions and exported again.

    Not only those 2 are weird scaled. Just compare the Drake with the Bloodhound, or look how huge the Wolfhound is. The Patrior is smaller than Starflea too for example.

    turret as a weapon? animated barrel/gun part must be assigned to the “rev” node. This is automatically done (at least with Ms CmpExpoter 0.3),

    i cant use 0.3 as it never exports correctly. is there any other way to do this.

    Just so you know,

    these fighters. One of them, the first pic you posted, was done originally for the original New Universe Mod that never got completed. When we came to the realization that the mod was not gonna get completed the ship was moved to another mod we were running and continually updating called: Level 2. Where me and Kleotal created a Merc Guild faction gave them a starbase called Outreach, and Kleotal completed the ship line with an additional 4 fighters.

    As you can see, Level 2 has long since ceased, but i still do have it on my HDD with the rest of the ship line. If your interested in having them all.

    Probably because most custom models you’ll find in freelancer only have a single LOD, therefore you only need two entries:

    LODranges = 0, 15000

    Every entry you add on the end will not be read because there is no mesh for it.
