    for reference, the ‘creation date’ is often a poor indicator of a files timestamp. If you copy/paste a file in windows the creation date will be updated as you just ‘created’ a new file.
    the ‘modified date’ is a much better indicator.
    All the files in my MS directory show the same creation date (the folder was copy/pasted from another hard drive) but the modified dates:
    msCMPImporter27.dll - 9/9/2008
    msCMPImporterP1p3r.dll - 10/24/2011

    Not really, but VirtualBox isn’t exactly hard to figure out. Just have an ISO of Windows 7 handy and you’re good to go.

    Of course Freelancer supports DXT5 explicit alpha, you just need to add the OcOt description/nodes to the material type.

    Seem it went offtopic but anyway.

    Looks nice, it would be even nicer to have a track view/curve editor, and in case of color editing a nice gradient preview below 🙂 Also where’s pairing window? I’ve been simplifying things a lot by having things like several instances of same emitter node in effect but each one spawning different particles. Or some weirder stuff like having multiple emitters for beam to draw lines.

    Also I’m curious about MeshAppearance, is it really and hopelessly broken or had I missed something?

    Update: it didn’t work for me, you can still see through the mesh but at least the pilot is now visible.

    Edit: Solved it, the glass group was my root group and that was all the matter.

    I’ve seen on models, especially from Discovery Mod, that instead of being flat texture, the try to draw out, like the emblems and other details on new ships. I’m still having trouble with doing UV mapping, but I have redone textures, only with VTFs. I can do modeling, but doing UV is a bit challenging with the type of life I have to deal with. Since I’ve been busy with college and job search(which sucks in the state of Florida), asking someone do help with finishing it up doesn’t work. Sometimes you have to play it by ear.

    Been awhile since I posted anything.

    Sorry Zeb, I actually put those variations of the darkstar model together a few years ago now, I never really intended to make them available, just use them in my own mods, so only made what I wanted to use.

    Were it not for a recent realisation of how short life can be and how stupid it is not to share what you have while you can, they would still be sitting there festering. Hope you can be happy with and make the most of what’s there, as it’s all I have.
