Looking into the files again, I notice that commodities have two .3db files:

  • a shop_archetype

  • an item_icon

I have (in my past life as a modder ) added commodities, and I remember doing the item_icons.

But what the heck is the shop_archetype for? I can't remember doing one for commods. If I remember well, with ships the shop_archetype is the model you see spinning around in the showroom. But we don't actually see goods at a commoditie dealer, do we?? Or are those piles of boxes we can usually see behind the dealer, actually not just part of the background?
