I made a year ago an aimbot for freelancer, and since Cannon's anti-cheat know how to handle it (after some drama, sorry Cannon), I could share it's sources for those who love to dig freelancer's asm code, in private.

Im posting this as I think it should be known to FL's community as a part of all code made for FL.

PS. I wont post a working version of aimbot dll here.

I'm well aware I can't stop you from doing any of this stuff, massdriver, but I'll just ask: please be careful who you share this with. Cannon may have anticheat against it, but most mods don't, and it could wreck them to have rampant cheating.

We all know how much damage cloaking did back in the day.

Yeah, I'm not referencing to anyone in particular. I just mean it in the sense of avoiding too many stupid cheaters getting their hands on it and proceeding to wreck servers.

I am interested to see the code, just to have a possible workaround for our server environment. So if you please could PM me the code or a link to download it.

Thanks in advance!

Things like this are quite dangerous, although there have been many different hacks from simple ini changes to programs and dlls. Thats never going to change.

Better to learn from the devious ways to better protect servers in the future, so as long as this is never made public I don't see an issue.

thing that directs your fire right into target no matter of where you actually point on screen

I d assume, that stuff could also be used for a kind of electronical warfare
directing fire away from the target.

Maybe an idea for our wizards to create a FlHook plugin
or an extra DLL to create special CM equipment.

Can it be used for automatic turrets on player ships?

nope. the only thing the aimbot do - it overloads projectile calc proc that makes position and speed direction vector when you hit fire.

Technically you can use the same functions for automatic turrets. There'd be more tweaking involved though, I suppose. A friend of mine wrote an FL aimbot, recently.
And no, it has nothing to do with the fisheye effect which is the product of bad fov angles
