EDIT: Added in Freelancer Mod Studio

Hey guys I got some time in the holidays to play around with WPF. It is the new presentation foundation framework from Microsoft which is very powerful.

It also supports ... ummm yes 3D what a surprise.

So I spent a few days trying to integrate it with the super cool all in one development studio for Freelancer called Freelancer Mod Studio. (yeah we are not there yet)

Here is the demo movie. Please leave me some feedback

"Delivering the sharpest three dimensional system editing experience aviable right to your home"

Yeah, I will when the new version is ready to be published. Still a few things to do before it will go beta.

You will see it soon enough

Now the only thing missing would be the actual models instead of placeholder boxes

That would be the ultimate system editor

Aye, this reminds me of Bethesda's construction set.
Here's hoping it's not Freelancer Explorer with a stupid DELETE EVERYTHING button

Yeah ... but sorry guys, thats not feasable especially because of performance reasons

3D universe editing ! - you know the map where each system is located ^^

Aaaand you can also edit every .ini file there is in a visual environment but without a 3d display ofcourse
But there is a lot more planned especially the idea to manage the development process of a whole mod

See official thread of Freelancer Mod Studio for a complete list

EDIT: About the models ... maybe I will create very simplified models of the original so that you can identify the actual type easier.

What about some kind of 'modular station placement' mode like FLE has?

oh god yes please.

@Stfx, it renders a station, and any lego pieces attached to the station and allows you to move it around to connect pieces easier.
