Ehm... lol?
BTW nice ship pack, I like it!
About the readme: Are you sure about it? This way your models won't be used in so commonly...

If they dont want to give credit then they dont deserve to use the models. Simple as that really is it not? If you release your mod would you take kindly to me just going "Oh hai, imma steal everything and call it my ownz." I think not.

Seems like the common consept of the average Freelancer mod... Nothing really new here: not graphics, not original models, not effects... Only a few systems and the stuff Freelancer2 would probably skip on in it's concept (if it was).

Were you not around in 2006/07? Ale modding wasnt quite around then and as for new graphics, that essentially meant massive textures... iirc.

And so what lol Its clearly stated its for those "that want the original Freelancer experience but with new places to explore."

This is 2011 not 2007 lol, if your only looking for shiny shiny, go download any recent mod.

You could easily use the players time logged in for that session, either in real time or doing a quick playerfile reading and getting the difference from when they logged in to when they logged out.... Money for maintanence would then come from that lol. And too make it so its not going to hit your bank massively... Have the amount to be paid done on a level basis, higher level higher amount.

Means all the charges are porportionalized to the players current level... Even if you whack the money on one character... to only use when you need to transfer money... the character you use on the regular only pays a little bit, but the character with all the money on is going to pay out a heck of alot more.. so it pretty much even's itself out.

As for if I would use this? I dunno I think its a good idea, its not like you have to implement it on your own server

Just curious, did you actually slog through all those half-3dbs / half-cmps and piece them together by hand? If so, my hat's off to you, that was way more work than I was prepared to endure.

the 3db's are pretty much only used for displaying the textures for buttons, they pretty much only reference a single square mesh.

The CMP's are the core of the interface, and yeah.. I lack the ability to do a mass convert of the cmp's to make them editable in milkshape lol, So yeah.. I think it took almost two days to convert over a period of a week and im not even done converting them all lol, started working on what Ive already converted.
