I have to agree with HunterKiller. I have a GT and wouldn't be very impressed if they give out the Lifetime Insurance for free with every new ship. Makes having a GT pretty pointless.

I downloaded, installed and played Galactica 2.0 OSP and it works fine. So far, it looks good.

I thought all the ships would be in the ships folder. Best thing to do I guess is to download the whole mod. You can dig around a bit and see if you can find them and anything else you may can use, i.e cockpits and bases. Perhaps you can use the colony as this is an awesome looking base
I upload the mod today after work and pm you the download link once done.

I copied the Ship folder of the mod and used WinRar to compress it. I send you a pm with the download link. Keep me up to date with the progress.

If you still have the mod, the ships should be inside as the mod can be run as a LAN server. I do this atm at home when I get the urge to hunt toasters

I'm sorry for your loss.
I remember [AoD] and you as Skar and I also remember Dartheon very well. BSG server was the all time best for me. Shame it is no more. I used to be |DSG|Chronos there.

I'm not a modder, but in the Data folder, find the folder Equipment and in there you can find weapon_equip.ini. Use Notepad + to open it.
In there, find the weapons in question. They should have a power_usage entry. Change that accordingly to reduce energy drain.

FriendlyFire is right. FL can't handle beam weapons. However, with an insanly high refire rate, it could be made to look like beam weapons. Some examples can be seen on Nightstalkers mod.
But with the low player numbers these days, would a modder really want to tackle a project like this? I would go with the SSM mod or Nightstalkers to be honest.

Nightstalkers Universe has got a very good Star Trek section in his mod, along with other themes. Well worth looking into.

Warped Edge SSM mod is also Star Trek themed with a good selection of ships.

There may well be other mods, but the above two are the ones that spring to my mind straight away.

I'm looking forward to the update. I added hudshift to the client and sorted the issue with screen resolution. Much better now.

However, there is one issue I have. After one week and killing well over 500 NPC's, I have yet to get the all parts for class 10 ablative armor or a decent fusion reactor to make my Battlestar of any use. Could the drop rate be slightly increased for those items?

In that case, you could try the download section here at the Starport or at moddb.

There is a similar thread for mods that have the vanilla story line and even extend on it:

http://the-starport.net/freelancer/fo ... t_id=57006#forumpost57006

Most mods, like Crossfire, have the Global Server Workaround already build in.
