I have a base in an added system that is acting oddly. If I'm in the system and I dock on the base I can undock just fine. If I use the /beam command to beam to the base I get the following error when trying to undock:

E:\FL\Scratch\Source\Server\space\ServerSpace.cpp(419) : *** WARNING: No docking rings for base ACFA6C4B

I thought it was related to the beaming method but I'm able to beam to other bases in the system and undock just fine, it's just this one base. So, it's not the beaming method (FLAC).

The base is a standard space_police01 base:

[Object]
nickname = Ew07_02
ids_name = 459477
ids_info = 461163
pos = -26470, -248, -12867
base = Ew07_02_Base
dock_with = Ew07_02_Base
reputation = gd_z_grp
archetype = space_police01
loadout = space_police01_ew07_01
difficulty_level = 19
space_costume = , robot_body_A
voice = atc_leg_f01a
pilot = pilot_solar_hardest
behavior = NOTHING

and shouldn't even be worrying about docking rings.

from Universe.ini

[Base]
nickname = Ew07_02_Base
system = Ew07
strid_name = 459477
file = Universe\Systems\Ew07\Bases\Ew07_02_base.ini
BGCS_base_run_by = W02bF52

So, has anyone seen this error before? How can I identify just what base is ACFA6C4B?

Just two shots in the dark:

1.
Does the beam command actually beam you to the correct base ?
(meaning the setup of flhook/flac)

2.
Are all the Base-files for this base formated correctly ?
(I think so, ´cos otherwise the game would crash)

But maybe you should double-check these ´cos I did a lot of typos myself when it comes to bases in the past

Greetings

Yes, the beam does take me to the correct base although when I try to undock the screen goes black and and that error message shows up in the console view.

The base files are formatted correctly as near as I've seen so far. I'm still in the building process but everything works properly on the base until I attempt to undock.

Never seen such a message and u stated that everything works fine except when u use the beam-command... Thats what makes me wonder the most.
To be honest : This one is VERY STRANGE !!!
So I have to say sorry, but I can´t help u any further.
But maybe some of the others here on Starport have a solution.

Good luck and pls let us know when u find the cause for this oddity.

Greetings

J.R.

I did a little trouble shooting last night and today as I found some time (finally). It helps to be home sick...

FLScan and FLErrorChecker didn't find any problems so I started from scratch and took the system ini file and stripped it down to the bare minimum. From there I logged in to the game, beamed to the base, and undocked. No problems, no errors.

I then added each component of the system in piece by piece testing after each addition to see what was causing the problem. This continued all the way through till the end with no recurrence of the phenomenon. Very weird... This was after multiple occurrences over the last several days.

I don't know what the problem was, nor do I know what the solution was. It's not happening at the moment and for that I'm glad.

I did. The value was neither decimal nor hexadecimal so it wouldn't work with it.

edit: oh... look at that. I was using version beta 2, I see this one is different. I'll give it a try.

edit 2: yeah, that's the base I was having problems with. Again, it's just a normal police station (border station) and it's set up just like every other border station. No docking rings... At any rate, I dissected the whole system ini and put it back together piece by piece testing after each piece addition and the problem seems to have gone away. Still keeping an eye on it though.
