I'm looking for a way to have some types of equipment draw constant power from the power plant. For example, a very-long-range scanner, or a special kind of weapon, etc. constant_power_draw provides this function for shields, but does not seem to work on the other types. Has anybody gotten this working, or is there another option I should be looking at?

I already checked adoxa's plugins

Gravedig if someone needed (Someone asked at other forums - thats why).
Must work only for active (activated) equipment: Scanner, Cloak.
power_usage =
power_usage = <negative number> seems to be powerup.

Intresting feature for Cloak - when we under it - weapons are offline, right?
Then weapons energy, dirty saying, we may redirect to cruise for example, if it eats power.

If something should effect power, it should be listed in the ship's
"shield_link = ...." entry in shiparch.ini.

The additional things I wanted to have positive or negative
power draw are defined as shields anyway.

Didn't try this for weapon hardpoints.
