It'll be difficult, but there are a few values in server.dll that control it, might want to look into that.

Um...why? The hack requests mostly have been pretty legitimate and have been solved in some form or fashion.

Anyways, I'm moving this to the spam boards since it doesn't belong here.

adoxa and w0dk4 are the ones doing the work (and forgive me if i didnt mention anyone else that's contributed to offset hacks)

it seems to me that if they dont want to do it, they dont have to. I know that adoxa, quite a few times, actually, has said something along the lines of

'its not that important, im putting it on the list but way down there'

if they dont want to do it, then they dont.

and dont give me the whole 'everyone wants hacks now, they dont try and do the old work arounds that already exist argument'

because seriously, alot of those workarounds are patchworked, unreliable, or just plain tedious. Why do all that when a simple hex hack can fix the problem?

Because certain patches are incredibly vulnerable to cheating, exploiting and could cause unforeseen issues.

When an alternative that isn't TOO tedious to use exists, I just don't see why not use it instead of asking somebody else to do your work for you.

And nobody thought, what to someone to do hacks interestingly, whether you thus limit his interests?

I simply would moderate the requests - those who are silly get renamed / closed and those who address a real flaw in Freelancer can stay. This way you would reduce the amount of requests. For anything which can be exploited as a cheat we have the secure & private section.

I agree with the above statment, As there are people out there that are trying to make there already established mods work how they want then too and the workaround are not working for them. these are the one that need to be for the makers of said mods only. Or it is taken into private messages and never show to the public or regastered users eyes.
