Black Prophecy is now in open beta for european users!
Download the client here.

Also, in their latest update(s), they changed the mouse cursor to more resemble Freelancer's intuitive control scheme:

Quote:
CONTROLS
- Steering and aiming has been revised. The control of the ship has been changed and should now be more intuitive
- The crosshair position is now free from the ship's direction, allowing a slight offset to the projectile’s direction

So it might be worth to check out the game again if you have been turned down by the controls before!

Check out the change log here!

Already downloaded it on March 1st. (The beta was opened on Feb. 28th.)

Also about the cursor, I'd like to add one of the cursor presets looks exactly like FL's cursor.

Not as good as they say.
There are many problems, imo, it shouldn't be even beta.
Its crashy and laggy, and has some annoying graph artifacts in some old graph cards. And I'm not the only one who says this.

Not bad, but again, this one still need alot of work to be playable.

Only laggy on the English server, go to the German server and it's perfectly fine.

Also, I've only had it crash on me once, and that's probably due to my old hardware.

Is there something preventing people in America from downloading and playing on the Euro servers?

I'm not sure, you're welcome to try it, though.

Also, even given the download size, it's most definitely worth it. Also, even being an MMO, the sort-of-singleplayer-campaign is nothing to sneeze at.

an HIGH END pc for no lag, but with a mid-range computer, it's pretty good (i ran it on my laptop with a 8600M GT and a T7500 processor with 3 Go RAM) so, it's not a crazy gamer computer...

To anyone curious, I just gave it a shot and they do not accept accounts created in North America. Anyone who isn't in Europe is just SOL if they want to play.
