Extract .dll in EXE dir and add it to the dacomsrv.ini librarys section.
There is a limit of a max. of 5 allowed connections/ip (5 players from the same ip allowed).
You can change this limit by editing anti_ddos.ini
max_direct_connections is a value for connections that are more likely to be originating from an attacking machine.

DDoS attempts are logged into anti_ddos.log.

This is a counter measure against the large scale flood attacks that happened earlier this year, christmas last year.
Those attacks work with "half-open" connections and would fill up your server so nobody can join.

/Edit: Now updated to prevent the latest ddos attacks that also cause the FLServer to silently freeze or crash.

can this be modified to only allow 2 connections? or maybe have it read from a config file so we can set how many connections we want to allow?

just thought id ask because its also a good way to prevent people using more than one account within the same household/LAn for multiple characters

just a thought

Just a note: This does not run on Windows 8 since apparently Microsoft uses another version of dpnet.dll on Windows 8!

I'm not sure about the Windows server version, but atm the above plugin only works with dpnet.dll version 6.1.7601.17989

To verify, the *.ini file also gets extracted to the EXE folder correct?
*Off to try it out

edit: I have the dll and the ini in the EXE folder and the entry added to the [Libraries] section of the dacomsrv.ini file.
With the dll running I can't log into the server. I'm allowed the opportunity to enter the password and then get the message that I can't connect to the server at this time, this is usually caused by yada yada yada...

remarking out the entry allows me to log in.
The ini is the default settings of 5 & 2

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
R
