Hey, I have a problem with my Ioncross.
This is what I get when opening it up to run the server:

Component : 'mscomtc2.ocx' or one of it's dependencies not correctly registered : a file is missing or invalid

Ioncross has been running fine and after a temporay setback do to ISP service (4 days) now this?
It worked fine early this morning as I was deleting players that haven't been on for quiet sometime now.

I tried to run the server on wireless on a different PC but that didn't go so well, only I could connect. My serer is back on-line now and when I opened it up that's the message I got.

Please help, asap.

Thank you, HunterKiller

if you actually meant mscomct2.ocx then this webpage may be of help: http://www.ascentive.com/support/new/ ... html?dllname=MSCOMCT2.OCX

I've had similar problems with similarly named files and doing that sort of thing usually helps although your pc might be a restart before it'll work, as they don't mention that there

Ok, thanks.
I'll try it after I read all about it.
I will reboot my system first to see if that will help.

Thanks again

Actually, all I had to do was reinstall Ioncross and everything is running as before.
I was also told that if it's only happening with Ioncross that's the problem and not my system.

Thanks for the info and I have pasted that link in my browser for future reference.

Problem with "Runtime Error #70" I do not have permission to use the program or something like that, in Ioncross.. What is this program?

After around 80 to 93 hours, I get this error box from Ioncross?

A friend of mine directed me to a site concerning this type of error but, I was unable to fix it.
I gave him remote acces to help and he had the same problem.

What / why is this happening and how to I rectify this problem?

It started several weeks ago and I think I posted something about it, can't remember? Meds. :-X

Months back, I had to do a complete player wipe at the cost of losing many players because of it. I reinstalled everything in order to fix all the problems I had with FLShell and locked jumpholes. Before this last installaion of Ioncross, it run for hundreds of hours without this sort of error message. It doesn't stop the server, only shuts down the server op. I loose all information collected and have to restart Ioncross only for it to repeat this message several hours later.

Is there anyone how knows how to stop this from happening? If you need access in order to fix this problem, let me know or just explain it to me in a "good ol' country boy" way.

have you tried runing the program in administrator mode? - that is, not your account on the computer but, a safe mode boot up then selecting Administrator from the accounts screen.

on what OS is the box running?

Looks to me that your missig a few vital vb6 files you have to register.
Also check your dat/time settings in Ioncross, your systeem needs to have that set exactly like Ioncross has, otherwise you keep having errors in your log files.

I'll have a look tonight to see if i can upload those vb6 files.

Actually, if you simply fix what Ioncross is telling you what is missing, it will help allieviate the problem. Before I added all of the equipment in Ioncross, it would crash every 2 to 3 days because of all of the unknown items. You can also increase the time between player scans to help until you add the new equipment into it.

Sry, I haven't replied to this post. Been having shut down problems but, I think that's all fixed now. Many unknown programs that were dl from somewhere or someone that tried to hack me. Security software and other programs pertaining to the same didn't view them as a threat I guess? Once I reviewed every single program, that's when I noticed,"What the hell is this?" After deleting/removing them, all is back to normal.

That may work, I have it scanning for players every 60 seconds. The scan only has a 300 second setting, that's 5 minutes, maybe that will work.

I'll reset the player scan to the max time and I'll just have to wait and see now.

Thanks all of you.
