Yes, you can even play HD edition on regular Vanilla servers, that's what it was made for. It's the best patch we currently have.

I've tried the HDE mod by BC46 on a number of vanilla servers and it work fine. It's primarily a texture upgrade mod so does no harm when using it on any vanilla server. I can't even play vanilla FL without using it due to the massive upgrades it offers visually
