Hi.
I was wondering if I could get someone to add a mod that allows me, the player, to fly the famous Space Battleship Yamato, from the Japanese anime of the same name; or the Argo, which is the same ship but from the English version, Star Blazers. I'd also like to be able to have players be able to dock with her if possible. I'd love to have her fully functional, with all her turrets, anti-air laser batteries, and her old smokestack that was converted to a missile launcher. Her Wave Motion Gun would be a lovely addition to her firepower but I have a feeling that that bit's gonna remain a pipedream. I'd like to fly her in tribute to the SBY/Star Blazers franchise, which spans from the 1980s all the way up to today; with a reboot known as SBY2199 coming out real soon in Japan. I'm also willing to pay for this mod out of my own pocket if needed. Kerry.

If this hasn't been done already the model is available from here guys:
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1540625 I am sure someone could convert it for you. Once someone has done that I am sure you will be able to mod it into the game. As for the main gun, with some ALE effects and a beam like gun, shouldn't be too hard to create. Just popping in my bit, I'm currently busy with other projects.

Oh BABY! Bolte's link in post #2 leads to the 3D printer files for the big puppy! Hope they convert into a nearby 3D printer'$ format because I SO want on for the mantlepiece! So many thanks for that Bolte!

So I downloaded the mod and the huge STL file from Bolte's link. Here's the result. Note that STL import into 3DSMax wants to weld and smooth and never works that well. The EXPORT is usually flawless as it you hit the print button only you printing in hot plastic.

Don't you know she's one pretty ride! I'm breaking out the guns and stuff now to add to the cmp model I imported to make some awesome beauty passes inside my rendering software and then make my own STL (yeah I misspelled stereolithography) file to run out and got me a by God real model Yamato to put in the mantle. I've prototyped bunch on 3D printers, but never did anything for myself. That's going to change but I spent most of today cloning all those turrets!
