If you did not know yet, Infinity is still in development and they have now started their Kickstarter!

They have toned down the scope from a full dynamic universe to a combat-focused game that takes place in a single but true to scale star system. Check it out here:

Woohoo. Finally.

Pledged for beta access. Guess they'll be faster than Star Citizen

Modding support sounds good, too.

"We're going to allow anyone to host a server for either LAN or internet play however only "verified" servers, servers that require users to login, will collect stats. Modders can of course build their own stat systems that operate outside of our official stat collection."

Ya, sounds pretty good
Better than Star Citizen definitely (speaking of modding and private server support)!

Yes it is.

And the kickstarter is now in it's final.
2 days 20 hours to go and only 14.000$ missing to hit the goal.

Found this in their recently posted Q&A Update:

Quote:
Q. The modding goal is at $800K, which is quite far away. Does that mean there will be no modding if you don’t reach it ?

A. The $800K modding goal is for “full” modding, completely changing the gameplay or even making new types of games and total reconversions ( like adding walking on planets/stations ). Even if we don’t reach this goal, there is still going to be partial mod support in the game. Players will be able to customize their own dedicated servers, add or modify ships, weapons, planets / solar system setup, sounds and special effects.. this includes the look but also all the gameplay / balance / physics parameters. The gameplay however will pretty much be set in stone until we get more funding.

PS: Last chance to get in. Kickstarter ends in 17 hours

Damn! I think I've missed this. Been busy in a beta. I hope all went well? This is something definitely looking into.

I've been short of cash lately. Had to get some work done on my car and part of it wasn't in my budget but, without the car, I'm stuck.

I've been looking at this one as well. Looks like it may be worth the time. I like exploring. Most of the game I have...that I play, are exploration game, these days. If not, they're stealth/survival games.
