FL Server Crashes Immediately [Discovery Mod 4.86 FINAL]

Greetings!

I'm trying to start up the Discovery Mod Server application, but it keeps crashing immediately after starting it. I can see it flash on screen for a split second and then it disappears.

There are no entries in the Event Viewer so I have no error messages to go on.

I'm running Windows XP SP3, 2GB RAM.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

-Josh

Look in the Freelancer\EXE\flhook_logs directory. There will probably be a debug log in there.

It might be that you need msvcrt libraries. Probably the ones for visual studio 2008. It doesn't need the debug libraries though just the release ones.

Thanks for the reply!

I just installed both 2005 and 2008 VC++ runtime libraries (and ran updates just to make sure) and it still does the same thing.

Looked in the EXE folder, but I'm not seeing a "flhook_log" directory at all, just a "flhook_plugins" directory.

Any other suggestions? Thanks again!

-Josh

It's the server I can't get started, not the game itself.

Regardless, I deleted the "Freelancer" folder out of My Games and it's still not starting up.

Thanks, though!
