Apparently anti_ddos.dll is incompatible with flachook.dll. When running both, one can't log into the server. When stopping flachook.dll from loading you can log into the server just fine.

So, unless there's a fix for that, anti_ddos.dll is not for servers running FLAC.

Did you try to a different loading order? I.e. put the anti_ddos.dll first, and then flachook ..

hmm, no
I'll give that a try

edit: all right, i gave that a try.
First startup of FLServer got me a crash/reboot within 45 seconds, after reboot, another crash within 30 seconds or so.
Then after the third reboot FLServer did not crash but when I went to look for it in the global server list it didn't show up.

After remarking out the entry in dacomsrv.ini all works again.
Just no anti_ddos.dll

I'm not sure about the Windows server version, but atm the above plugin only works with dpnet.dll version 6.1.7601.17989

On Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition SP2 :
dpnet.dll version 5.3.3790.5083

anti_ddos.dll crash FLServer when the player is login.

Yeah no, this thing will only work on 2008/Windows 7.

2003's so old you should have upgraded years ago anyway.

Crashes on Windows 8. Not that I'm surprised, honestly.

That said, not like it's needed for a test server running on my main computer, but something to note for the others.

This was noted on the first page already. It's why I said only 2008/Windows 7.

Hey guys, so I added the project on the forge and gave access to FF, adoxa and Schmackbolzen if anybody wants to try to port this to different dpnet.dll versions.. if I finally find the time, I might do it myself but anyways it's good to also have it on source control!

Great!

I have committed changes, so that the addresses for win8 and 2003 server are correct. I also fixed the asm code for win8, so that it does not crash anymore.

The next step is testing, whether the changes prevent the ddos attack. I am currently testing that.

Nice.

@w0dk4:
Could you add me to the access list please? Would be nice to have a look at the code.

For win8 the connection limit of (default) 5 kicks in before the server is full and the crash packet is also caught. So it actually seems to work there. I have not gotten it to work with 2003 server yet.

The dpnet.dll version is identical for Windows Server 2012 R2, so the Windows 8 build should work for WS2012 and WS2012 R2, though I've yet to test that.

The DLL has a new version under Windows 10 however.

EDIT: Tested under W10 with the W8 build, no crash and can connect. Don't know if it protects against ddos, but at least it doesn't crash it.

I've just changed the logic a bit so the dpnet.dll version is detected at runtime instead of requiring different builds.

Yeah, that is better.

The parameters for DPNetHookCrackDataFrame in the win8 build do not always seem to be correct. In my last attempts the crash packet succeeded.

I've gotten it to work on 2003 server, though. But I have to check a few things before I commit.
