The first and big hope you given after chinese new year LS

At least for me, i hope your engine will be success, that's a potential and portal to make you able to make any game.

Now you can fly in space, walking on planet and etc, pretty good!

BTW: Watching npcs fight with other is very interesting right? I do that everytime when i make a pop [Zone] and i believe you will feel the fun more than me because you watching that as a really creator. Keep your good job

Can't help but notice you seem to be in need of some nice textures LS, might I recommend you try Genetica.

Download the viewer first and take a look at what's on offer, the viewer alone contains a lot of very nice royalty free textures, mostly seemless and tileable. If you like what you see then rest assured that the full version which can create new textures is a mighty powerful tool, I can vouch for that.

Thanks guys, took about 4 days to build both systems and I am quite pleased with the results.

@ Timmy - I have that program, need to start playing with it. Haven't figured out how to make height maps with it yet so at this point Im still using Texture Maker 3. Thx for pointing it out though, makes some really nice textures.

WOW, the video seems very good!

A small problem: Asteroids at a impossible distance. That's because of gravity ecffect.

About texture and scene, now i known LS's style is: Make it like real. But it's bit hard to do with any graphic engines, especially for a baby-age engine, my recommendation is (Maybe you don't agree with this) Universe is dark in real, so just forget *real* at this point, and make scenes fantastic & beautiful.

Few days before im searched game for my new Defy Phone, and i found a game named Galaxy On Fire for iPhone, it's made for phones so have't complex model and large texture, but it still looks so good: see this image (I like the Sun). And in your game, it's supported complex model and large texture, so i think you can make more beautiful scenes simplely.

Nexose - suggestion - rustran.com - much better translation than google translator

I really can't tell what you are trying to say, this gives a much better translation from Russian to English.

Nice pic btw, haven't gotten around to the flares yet though...

Psst: LS: NexOse is from China, a new continent only recently discoverd by the USA, not an abbreviation for the USSR! heheheheh...

He just says "C'mon, LS - you can make better scenery and planets than that!"

What he doesn't realise is that you are a one-man band, super progger but not a graphic designer.

Keep taking the tablets!

Sorry, still learnning english, but you know something is hard to express with a unfamiliar language.

Actually... spaces textures in the video seems not bad, just the style not fascinating enough.

NexOse - your English is much better than my Chinese, so stop hiding!

We can see exactly what you mean, and it is not encouraging to LS.

So - ssshhhh!!!

Don't say any more, let him do his magic in peace!

I bet you can't do either better graphics nor program a new engine - so... ssshhhhh!!!!!

It's fully moddable so you will have a chance to make it look like you want it.

BTW, the asteroid field around the planet is well within a normal diameter, it's 122 km across, smaller than the diameter of Jupiter (143 km). The asteroid belt is 1.2 billion km across as a size comparison.

Stop feeling you have to justify it LS - carry on, I think it's great!

PS - I can't count a million, let alone a billion!
It's all paper money anyway!
