Huhu,
first off, we might should consider renaming this area in "The Starport projects" or something like that. Now...many of us are looking forward to Infinity: The Quest For Earth. Well, some years ago a battle prototype was released which is free to download and free to host as far as I am aware. I don't know about your server ressouces, but might it be worth a consideration to host a ICP server? Doesn't seems that there are many of them online and even less of them stable or active. I don't see why we'd do that. Infinity will be an MMO whose release date is so far off it might as well never be.
There's not much point in hosting that when we aren't even hosting a FL server. Utter waste of resources. The combat prototype ain't even that much fun.

well then, what about hosting a PLAIN vanilla server with 1.1 patch and the jflp (just for the bugs to be fixed)? making mod advertisement is done already so well, we won't get far trying to make kinda "universal FL mod".

Because one of the concepts include a model where you play FL in some kind of "arcade mode" - Like UnrealTournament, as far as I understood. So: less MMORPG orientated.
