VS 2005, SP1

It crashes with both the version I downloaded from here and the one I compiled. Im going to create a debug version of the DLL and see if it will show me where the crash is happening.

After running FL Server in debug mode, here is what it popped up (gotta love Visual Studio)

HEAP[flserver.exe]: Invalid address specified to RtlFreeHeap( 03990000, 02BC5E10 )
Windows has triggered a breakpoint in flserver.exe.

Maybe that will help, usually that crash is due to an array being too large in a subroutine. Will see if I can find one...

This error is caused by the Free() command.

Reasons for Heap Corruption mainly is a memory leak. If you have a debug version every memory overwriting should be highlighted by Visual Studio - cause that can be detected by the debugger.
And if you use Visual Studio it should break where the SW crashes and then you should have the address of where to look for. Linked with private symbols you should be able to track back to the memory leakage - at least the field that was overwritten.
But sometimes it could be weird to find it on the first hand cause any memory exceeding could cause on different locations to crash the software
Just my experiency with debugging and memory leaks...

i know this is an old topic, but since all the hardcore guys wit all the knowledge seem to be here, i just go ahead.

Im administrating a vanilla server, and i dloaded the 1.5.5 Version of FLHook as flmod, so i can activate it in FLMM.

It works so far from what i can tell.

Now im wondering if there is a possibility to turn pvp on and off in certain systems. And what is the thing with all the plugins for FLHook. Since FLHook isnt a program by itself with a GUI how do u add the plugins?

Whats the best version with lots of options for vanilla?

I have many more questions, but i think i start here.
Im not a programmer, so i have no clue how all the modding an stuff works. If you want call me a noob on this, even if im old.

thx in advance

Not sure whether you'd call FLHook a program or not, as it's compiled into a .dll, but you don't need a GUI for it to be a program.

Why 1.5.5? Isn't a more recent version yet? I recall something with 1.6 or even higher...

Here is where all FLHook development happens:

http://forge.the-starport.net/projects/flhookplugin

You can also find plugins there. Also, make sure to browse the FLHook forums:

What's the plugin version?

well,

first off, thx for your replies. Second, you may wanna call me a noob, but if i look at all the files in a way it appears to me that all these files are plugins. I dont see a file that says basic flhook where all the plugins have to be added to. I seem not to understand the basic structure of the whole project.

I dloaded the flmod version of 1.5.5 and added it to flmm. That so far worked. Do i just copy all the folders of all the addons over to the exe directory of freelancer? I seem to be confused about how that thing is designed.

You guys got a teamspeak or something where someone can explain it to me? That would be great. I really wanna get into it.

Thx
