Another update regarding the site:

Given we didnt really have any proper Freelancer Mods database (and given many people search for that), I have created one within the Wiki for everybody to add to.
Additionally, I created a Freelancer Servers database in the same style.
Also, there are now links to these pages in the navigation menu (under "Main Menu".

When adding more mods/servers on the main database pages, please keep within the existing style and use other entries as a base for your entry. You can create a more in-depth and personalized page regarding your mod/server on a seperate wiki page.
The listings should also not have elaborate descriptions of mods, but short summaries of what the mods are about and what makes them special. Just refer to the already existing entries.

Now, please have fun contributing to the Wiki.
Remember: Our Wiki could really be something special if everybody helps a little.

Nice!

Just have waited for it a while ^_^

Flak:
Code:
 Single/Multiplayer:   Multiplayer-only

Isn't this incorrect, by the way?

depending on the point of view. it is SP compatible, meaning you can play (open)SP with it. it is however designed for multiplayer only and therefore the SP support is limited, engaging a testing ambience for players and disengaging any sort of storyline. maybe we should agree on which criteria this parameter depends: SP capability or SP support?
guess no mod is so far incapable of multiplayer use xD

Well, 90% of the mods only offer Open SP, 9% support the Vanilla story, and just AoT adds more missions to the existing story.

So, if you look at it that way, 99% of the mods aren't SP compatible. lol.

oh, well, 99% is a pretty poetic number. most minor addons and vanilla mods do support not only openSP but even the storyline. most mods played by now are total conversions, yes, or rebalancing so much, that they cannot support a proper story. btw, if i remember right, e.g. 88flak is compatible with every savegame you make in vanilla as long as no story mission reference is in the savegame, isn't it?

Any specific reason why nobody wants to add their server/mod?
(except for Vesko )

Side topic:

Someone, or it maybe has to be me again, has to update the systems category:
http://the-starport.net/freelancer/wiki/index.php/Systems

Most (if not all) systems DO exist in the wiki, but some of them with the "System:" prefix while others maybe not. For instance, form the systems list:
http://the-starport.net/modules/media ... ex.php/Systems:california

Doesn't work. But http://the-starport.net/freelancer/wiki/index.php/california does. (Be careful with renaming the specific system pages because they are all linked together)

Works for me (though its a redirect).

i think, if its about ingame information, a source called freelancer wiki (freelancer.wikia.com) is a nice help or even reference. myself have added some aspects there based on modding experience whereas the wiki is built up by players with few knowledge of the exact technical details of it. anyway, maybe a collaboration could help creating a single game spoilers wiki. also they have small articles about several popular mods.

I've added a Location field to the server list, also please note that we are going to sort mods/servers alphabetically.

Since you list some of the mods twice (you have a mod and a server section), I have also added a server location field to our mod in the list. If you don't like my sense of order, feel free to remove it

Suggestion: Add servers directly under each mod, this way it will be easier to get an overview.

That would imply that all mods are hosted on one server only, which is not true for many mods.

Im considering formating the server database like a table, linking to the mod pages (and/or server pages) for more info..

Well I was not speaking about one server per each mod, if there are too much you could add servers in the mods own page and link to the section.

That's how I would look for mods, first the mod description and then the server list. I guess it would be easier to maintain, too.

Anyway, the decision is yours
