Title: Freelancer Original No-CD EXE
Description: This is the one and only no-CD exe for Freelancer distributed with certain legal copies of the game. It removes the CD check at the start of the game, therefore allowing you to play the game without having the CD in your disk drive.

"comments about the NoCD.exe"
The NoCD.exe file needs to go into your freelancer\exe directory and it is run INSTEAD of Freelancer.exe. It is not a patch exe. Running it else where (thinking it was a patch exe) it gives errors about missing common.dll and other dll files. Replace the pointer in any desktop icon to point to this file once you've verified it works as advertised. btw, I'm running Win 8.1, I7 (3770) processor, nvidia gtx750ti graphics card. I will also note that without this patch/fix/nocd method , my game would run about 1 (one) frame per second and was unplayable. I suspect something to do with the CD being accessed. Take this with a grain of salt, as I just received the game and am installing it to play for the 1st time. |

has anyone else got this error I can not run or save exe file is it out dated I'm running windows 10 I'm not sure what up |
