Single Player (SP)

SP

SP is a common abbreviation amongst most who use Freelancer and is quite common in nearly all gaming communities - it stands for Single Player and refers to the off-line element of the game where you are NOT interacting with real players.

OpenSP

This term describes the single player element of Freelancer with the storyline removed; it is referred to mainly in conjunction with Modded installations of Freelancer, despite how it sounds, to most this is a huge plus side to some Mods. The freedom to do as you please in open space, without other MP characters, or mod politics to worry about.
