Hi, I'm considering to create a mod which centralizes around PvP.
First and foremost I want to change all light, heavy and very heavy fighters to make all of these ships available in PvP (nerfing eagle, making light ships stronger and supporting stronger weapons etc), as well as modifying all the weapons to instead of having 1 "best weapon" offer weapons that are more specialized (such as range, speed and damage). For the universe I'm not sure if I'd want it to be edited, this is a very low priority, same goes for factions and role-play features. I can do all the modding (though, I'm no expert, still learning) except for FLhook scripts.

Good idea, made a very similar mod but you will get the same problem as I do: no people. And without them, no PvP.

yes :p ... getting players is one great issue.
Though, I think people who generally like PvP could maybe offer a hand, to get people more interested. Also, making everything "free" would make the server like a "pop-in and play", where systems would be used for different game modes (TDM, CTF, HTF etc).
