Are you running a modded server or a vanilla one?

I have no experience running FLServer on a 64-bit machine. Only WinXP, Win2000, and Windows Server.

If it's not related to the operating system take a look at start/run/eventvwr.msc
look for the red X's associated with Freelancer-Server
Perhaps an offset might give a clue.

Also, look at the fl-server-errors.log in the C:\ drive for clues.
Finally if you're running a good server manager like FLAC or such, see if there's an events log that you can look at.

You could also try running FL Error Checker or FLScan to see what errors it flags.

FL DataStorm also has error-checking built in.

It's best to start with Vanilla freelancer to see if your hardware is the problem. If you have no problems with vanilla FLServer, you can start implementing your mod in stages. The stage that kills it is the stage you need to examine more closely.

The only thing x64 does to FL is giving it more breathing room by making the OS have access to more than ~3.5 gb of RAM.

*the process, afaik.

PAE allows to gain access to more than just ~4 GB, but it is still limited to 4 GB per process.

PAE should also be aviable for Win XP 32-Bit systems.

No, x64 is specifically for the OS. A 32-bit OS simply cannot address more than roughly 4gb of RAM.
