This is a tool I wrote for the modders to get some ideas how a system could look like. There are some rules how the items are distributed (hardcoded). It generates a preview of the system and you can save it as an .ini file. The ini-sections are modifiable too. You can also save that modification and load different ones.

Since it seems stable enough I thought I could release it.

I appreciate any feedback

I attached a preview image.

Hi,
It is an interesting tool you did... Very suited for new modders IMO.
Would it be possible to also add some patrol generation (if there's not) ? Even with dummies populations, just to understand how it is made ?

Many thanks for your work, I'll test it soon (missing some free time recently ^^) !

This program was just invented to give idealess modders a random system they could use to work with.
Just if you sit in front of your computer and think: "Hm... where to put the planets this time?".

So you are another one who works on a system generator. Good idea to use such a thing to generate concepts, not for actually creating usable systems. That's why I stopped my project, I realised it won't have any use the way I wanted.
Still, your program sometimes places objects too close together, although it seems to take care that objects are not on top of each other. But as it is not meant to produce finished layouts, that's no real problem though.

Nice! Could see where Quarks is going at, but I think this would work well in throwing around rough-system ideas.

I tested this a little.
It would be nice to add creation of objects in the Y axis too (usually my new systems, even vanilla ones resized and modified , are made 3D).
Also i got problems with window resize (resolution 1024x768 dont
show "save" button, i need to resize desktop to save )
