Hi!

I feel it is a bit tedious and boring to read all the text in the navbar to the very left.

What about a few small pictures for a better orientation?

I agree, having some nice looking buttons will definitely spice up the looks a bit. Even though maybe you don't really use them, it would still enhance the looks of the forum.
