A blast from the past... since November of '03 ... Lansdale!

Now running Evolutions 1.28 classic gameplay. Remember trashing fleets of battlships in Aleutia? The mine maze in Swansea? It's all there. We still have a $600k starting boost, jump right in! Want to be a Nomad? Fly a Battleship? We welcome the casual player, no drama... no silly rules... just common sense. We're here to help you have fun. The Evo 1.28 client is right here on TSP downloads. Good as it ever was! Remember Evo...

Don't take this offense please, but it might give you some players if you include the DL link for TNG right into the posting.

Some news to report...

After more than a year, the server is still up and operating. New folk drop in from time to time.

However... both our web site and our forum have problems.

The problem with the web site prevents me from updating the server news, such as the current IP. However, we are on the global server workaround list, so this only effects direct-connect. In the meantime, if it becomes necessary to change the IP then I will post it on the Twitter page, name is Frobozz_FL

The forum is completely down. I have no means to contact the operator of the forum, unfortunately.

The server name has been shortened to:

24/7 Lansdale Evo 1.28

The Admin email for any issues is:

frobozz.fl@gmail.com

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Wow, how did I miss this? Hi Frobozz - long time no see Open in new window

I didn't know anyone still ran Evo I will have to stop by shortly

I've got 1.30 and 129.17 (the last beta) on the site http://artificiallyintelligent.co.uk/freelancer but can't remember 1.28 so well - for stability that is.

Good News!

The Server Forum is back online!

Bad News (sorta)!

I did server maintenance but for some reason the server didn't go back online after re-boot.

Good News!

That's been fixed, it's back online now.

The web page is still stale and that issue isn't resolved.

Hey Chips!!! How's it going? Long time no see indeed!

Ya, I changed the server from stock to Evo when I started hosting it, such fond memories...

I picked 1.28 partly because that is what we ran on our original 2nd FL server (stock was on the other), but also it was very convenient that Starport hosts the client so people can get it here easy.

If Starport hosted newer versions, I'd be happy to upgrade.

You mean a MP account ID that FL generates upon a new install?

Install patch 1.1, that fixes it. Also, you could've made a separate post

Also, *waves* at Frobozz. It's indeed been a very long time!

Glad to see Lansdale is still kicking

(I was on Boston with Earendil and the bunch)

I'll submit the versions here shortly - got to download them again, and maybe if i've got a spare min or two have a lil tweak *whistles* to ensure no huge crashes... I made a shed load of changes a year or so back and forgot to upload it (overhauled Romanov) - and then during an upgrade to Win 7 forgot to back it up so lost it

Did you install the Global Server Workaround Patch?
That's not already part of Evo like it is with newer mods.
Alternatively, you could direct-connect by IP.
