I did see a post the other day regarding the ptough.ini so started checking it out on our mod. One thing i noticed which told me something else controls the players level in MP was that the ptough in our mod only goes to level 40.

What i was wondering is which file determines the players level in MP.

Also what file do i edit to achieve level 90?

The server 1.1 patch allows levels over 38. Your mod does not need the ptough.ini included and altering it will not make any changes in MP.

I thought the MU already went up to 90? The UV does with my test ship with 1.9 billion on board. If yours doesn't, try removing the ptough and check again.

Im more interested in making it so that it takes longer to get each level at the moment you can get to around level 78 just by having 100 million then it takes ages to get to 89/90

I wish. I also wanted a uniform cash amount to the rank. But after reading years worth of posts everywhere no one has done it yet. The best guess was an exe hack (which is how MS unlocked the level 38 in the first place).

The cut off for rank 90 is around 1.5 Billion afaik and that gioes right upto the maximum you can pull off in FL which is around 2 to 2.5 billion with an exe hack. If you try going beyond this you get strange results, i.e negative numbers and that kind of thing. The range seems limited by the type of variable used, which would be very hard to change without reworking source code.

As for changing cash to level in ptough.ini for a more uniform level spread, I agree it seems to have no effect on MP, unfortunately. ???
