    PMs on the site don’t seem to be working for me. I don’t have anything in my outbox despite selecting stuff to go there. When I send a PM a black box shows up with the link to close the window, and when I do so, no PM is sent.

    Ich habe in ENIGMA V4 ATG bereits erfolgreich einen “Cargo-Extender” im Einsatz: Funktioniert via Item/Commodity mit “minus-Volume”. Dabei ist es in MEINEM Fall eine kaufbare bzw. via crafting herstellbare “Ware” die -200 Volume hat. Zusätzlich habe ich einen “Decay” eingesetzt, der die Haltbarkeit auf 2 Stunden begrenzt. Das ganze geht natürlich auch mit montierbaren Items… Nachteil für MICH: montierbare Items benötigen einen Slot (wie z.B. eine Panzerung) UND lassen sich daher reparieren (heisst, man könnte mein erwünschtes Haltbarkeits-feature umgehen) Das ganze habe ich via FlHook “nicht-dropbar” und “nicht-transferierbar” gestaltet. Problem bei WAREN: Beim Spieler-zu-Spieler-Handel geht der Extender verloren, weil der Frachtraum von FL nach dem Abschluss des Handels anscheinend neu berechnet wird, und DABEI plötzlich keine Waren mit negativem Volumen akzeptiert/berücksichtigt werden. <- Für dieses Problem kann ein erfahrener Coder sicherlich einen HEX-Hack finden… allerdings habe ich mich darum seither nicht gekümmert. Die beschriebene Methode funktioniert aber hier sonst hervorragend.

    Vllt kann dir das weiterhelfen…

    Wenn der Extender “abgelaufen” ist, bleibt die überschüssige Ware trotzdem erhalten, bis sie verkauft oder gedropped wird.

    Speaking of CMP importing help, I’ve ran into having to revert to 3DSMax 2009 64bit and need the MS3D IMPORT-EXPORT .dle and more importantly the CMP and MAT exporters. The need for these dinosaurs is that this version has some killer pro tools filters and such and as. Any MAX users know, one years filters won’t work in an older years build. Or sometimes newer builds. (Loud Sigh). If anyone has these in their closet I’d appreciate them.

    So I’m pretty sure I found the solution in the old posts, thanks go to foxunit01. Contrary to my initial belief, it has got nothing to do with hostility of the spawned ships and the station.

    As a rule of thumb, each faction that patrols to or from any base should be mentioned in the [MBase] entry of the station like this:

    [BaseFaction] faction = uv_xyz_grp weight = 1 offers_missions = false

    That sould stop the crashes. If you still get them, the tools from adoxa can help you find the culprit.

    I think what you’re looking for doesn’t actually exist. People have preferences, but there is no “right” choice. Do people want mountable engines? Depends on who you ask. Do people want progression in equipment, or should all guns be balanced? Depends on who you ask.

    If you want to make a mod, just do it. Design by committee doesn’t work, and you most likely won’t find much of a committee here anyway… I also wouldn’t see it as “giving back”. You’re doing what the community does best: making mods. Don’t try to make it into something bigger than it is, or than it could possibly be.

    EDIT: Oh also, putting my admin hat for a second, please refrain from making multiple posts in a row. Edit your latest post instead. Stream of consciousness-style posts aren’t advisable.

    Weapon modding is a good place to start as it’s fairly well isolated from system building which can be quite complex. You can PM me with any questions on most aspects of modding except ship building and texturing never did get round yo them LOL

    Get a good text editor for the ini files I use Notepad ++, for system work FL mod studio is my choice

    If your mod is intended to be quite large you need to have a custom dll to contain the info card data, I assume you’re using the TCM starter pack? it contains several custom dlls set up for you.
