Yeah, you got it man. I'm afraid Xoops (especially the cobbled together version we're using) is really hard to modify. Not sure I want to delve into its innards and try to figure out how to change it

Glad to hear you solved it though. NoScript and AdBlock are just amazing.

It only got bad since version 11, version 10 was free of bugs, some people have downgraded the flash they use to the latest stable version of it.

The bartender on planet New Berlin is named after the original founder of Lancersreactor.com - Christian Koerner (Bargib).

Tachyon, one of the moderators at the original Lancersreactor.com, appears in the Freelancer manual playing / chatting with the developers.

Just wanted to let you know, sometimes when I'm done reading a certain topic and click on the 'forum' button in the top left menu, a lot of the topics/categories on the forum's main page are marked as 'unread' again. Not all of them, but most of them. If I then click on the forum button again, it's back to normal.

When I first joined here, I had to contact some people so I looked them up on this forum. I quickly found out that I wasn't able to find a button that says 'search members' or something. I was able to find those people using the normal 'search' button in the top left menu though, but that also displays results from forum posts, wiki, tutorials, etc. In my opinion it would be so much easier if you had a 'Members' button, which after you click it provides a search option, or a 'Search Members' button directly on the menu.

Overall I think it's a really nice looking site.*thumbsup*

I agree, having some nice looking buttons will definitely spice up the looks a bit. Even though maybe you don't really use them, it would still enhance the looks of the forum.

Someone brought up the community network bar on Lancersreactor.com as a sticking point for them. Obviously their ability to enunciate the issue was lacking as it wasn't clarified why a community bar prevented the site being useful (it isn't mandatory), but it did highlight one thing...options

Since the starport already has the scrolling links - provided by an external 3rd party site - how about including them on Lancersreactor.com too?

It offers an alternative, and not one controlled by ... well ... I guess their issue was with the starport, so a clear differentiation.

Of course - it may not help everyone as if they can't put script tags into a web page then I seriously doubt they can put an iframe either, but it offers options to all

I know they aren't the prettiest of things, but thought I'd mention it

p.s. You could also put lancersreactor.com on that list too

Mod Reviews is something that doesnt suit this site if you ask me. Besides the fact that it hasnt proper measures in place to secure the voting (no mod member can review its own mod).

Next to that reviews and rating mods is possible on Moddb already. Thats the site i am also looking for mods - mostly there tho. So it wouldnt be the worst idea to present mod work also there - because actually there are also other players looking for info - not only already known Freelancer gamers.

Really guys - this site is quite OK if you ask me. Concentrate on the stuff here. Thats the reason i am hitting up this site.
